Since 2011, I have been collaborating with some wonderful ladies. We have bounced lots of ideas off each other, had many planned (and unplanned) photo shoots, and they always end up being so much fun. We have always had the idea of doing a different kind of spin on glamour shots. We have collaborated on themes ranging from 'zombies', to 'day of the dead', to a more dramatic 1920's portrait session. We love to practice on each other and refine how we make these shoots happen.
One of my awesome partners in crime is Rachael LeBlanc. We have been talking about involving her beautiful niece Savannah. She has always loved mermaids so we decided to use that as our theme this time. Haven't you ever wanted transform into something different? Perhaps something from childhood fairy tales? How would it feel to be that character for a day?
Rachael did all the styling for this shoot. She hand crafted her entire costume, did all the makeup, and did a great job of setting up the shots with me and made sure all the poses were right, down to the very last wig hair. I couldn't have done this without her. To check out more of her work check out her blog: http://radiant-sun.blogspot.com
Here are some of my favorite shots from that day.
